The Cub Scouts went on a spiritual adventure when they visited the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple in Mississauga Ontario to have the unique opportunity to learn about Buddhism and Chinese Culture.
We learned that the temple is also the meeting place for the 6th Meadowvale Scouting group and we were delighted to get the chance to meet their Scouters and Cub Scouts.
The Cubs received a tour of the temple and an introduction to Buddhism. We learned quite a bit, and then joined the 6th Meadowvale Cub Pack for some fun games so that everyone could burn off some energy after having been so quiet and good during our tour of the temple. Everyone learned a lot and we are very thankful for the opportunity to learn about a different religion and culture. We look forward to visiting the temple again in the future and more exciting adventures with our new friends at 6thMeadowvale.
