On Sunday November 6, 2016 Milton Scouts will be marching in the Milton Ontario Remembrance Day Parade. This is a very imporant day in our community, and in our scouting journey as we pay tribute to all of the fallen, and active members of the Canadian Forces who have fought in the many conflicts in the past that afford us the freedom we enjoy today.
We will be meeting in the parking lot on Mary Street across from our sponsor, The Royal Canadian Legion at 1:15 to gather for the start of the parade at 1:30. The parade will march up Main Street and will turn down Brown street ending at the Cenotaph. After the Remembrance Day ceremony. Milton Scouting will also be providing Hot Chocolate and cookies to the parade participants.
Please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather. They should be wearing their necker on the outside of their coats to show they are scouts. On the off chance that we get an abnormally hot day where we would not require coats they should then be in full uniform, however the chances of having a warm enough day for that would be unlikely.
We hope to have full attendance from our group marching in the parade, and parents and family waving and cheering us on along the parade route.
